How much does the moving company Charge?

At Mr Mover we typically charge by the hour. We make every effort to be the best value among moving companies, so please give us a call now to see our best rates possible for your move!

When does the moving company start their charges if I am paying by the hour?

At Mr Mover we wait until the movers arrive at your location before we start our charges. In fact, our motto is “Why pay more, when you can let our clock start at your door!“™. Please give us a call now and we can explain our charges in detail.

Who will I contact if I have a question during my move?

Our Dispatch Manager(Move Concierge, if you will…) will call you from his cell phone when our movers are in the truck and on their way to you. So from that moment forward you will have a direct line of communication with the manager in charge!

How do I get rid of things I don’t want anymore?

There are several ways this can be done. Our first recommendation is to try to sell or give them away prior to your move date. You may also be able to contact your apartment, building, HOA, etc about a special use of their dumpster and if they allow that. If all else fails we can also deliver any unwanted items to the local land fill for a small fee. This is a pretty simple process, but every situation is a little different so please give us a call and we can explain how this works in further detail.

How can I save money on my move?

While there are many ways to save money, the most popular method we see is when our customers only ask the movers to move the big items, and then move the smaller items themselves if they are able. This will save on time and therefore money. But please know if you plan to do this, we can always help out with the small items on move day if your plans fall through or you are unable to do it for any reason. When we arrive we will be there to do as much or as little as you choose that day!

Can I leave items in my dressers and drawers?

It is recommended that all items are removed from drawers & packed safely when moving. While this is recommended in general, there are times when it may be ok to leave smaller & lighter items like sweaters in drawers, but please give us a call in advance to confirm. However much you accomplish prior to the movers arrival we can help you remove the items from drawers on move day if needed as well, so this is not a problem either way.

OK. I have decided I want to use Mr Mover, now how do I set this up?

This one is the easiest of all. Just give us a call and we can schedule it right in there for you! While we do have enough resources to tackle the largest of jobs, it is important to call in just as soon as you can to ensure availability. If you have read this one this far, then please pick up the phone and call us now! We will get you all set up as quickly and easily as possible.

I need to change my move date. What do I do?

Please just give us a call asap and we can change that for you. The sooner you call, the better!

I need to add some items or an extra stop to my move.

Again, this is no problem. Just give us a call and we will update your move info, but rest assured it will not change your moving rates unless something goes out of our local area or requires more men than you were originally scheduled for. We do not add charges for additional items or stops.

What should I do with my pets and children during the move? They usually require my attention and supervision but I will be busy…

While it is best to see if they can have a visit with someone close that you trust that day, we understand this is not always possible. It may be best to keep pets in a certain room so they are out of the way & not creating any dangerous situations. And with children, maybe someone can at least be there with you for a while during move day to assist you with that supervision as well.

When is the best time to move?

The busiest times for all movers are on the weekends and near the end of the month. However, please don’t let this stop you from moving during that time if needed because it can be done. Please just make every effort to schedule your move as far in advance to help your move go as smooth as possible.
